1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Nugget.fyi Chrome extension ("Extension") or visiting nugget.fyi ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Extension or Website.

2. Description of Service

Nugget.fyi is a Chrome extension that captures YouTube videos and web articles, stores them locally on your device, and provides AI-powered analysis and chat features via a backend service. The Extension uses a local-first architecture — your library content is stored in your browser's IndexedDB and is not uploaded to our servers except as needed for AI processing.

3. Free Tier and Usage Limits

The Extension includes a free tier with 100,000 AI tokens per month. Local saves are unlimited. We reserve the right to modify usage limits, introduce paid plans, or change pricing at any time with reasonable notice.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

• Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to circumvent, manipulate, or abuse the quota metering system
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension or backend services
• Use automated tools to interact with the Extension or backend in ways not intended by normal use
• Redistribute, sublicense, or create derivative works of the Extension without permission

5. Intellectual Property

The Extension, Website, and all associated code, design, and content are the property of Nugget.fyi and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you save or create using the Extension.

6. Third-Party Services

AI features are powered by Google's Gemini API. Your use of AI features is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension and Website are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nugget.fyi and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Extension or Website.

9. Termination

We may suspend or revoke your access to AI features or the backend service at any time if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms or abusing the service. You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
